Eating by the clock rather than by our body’s own internal timer can interfere with our health and wellness goals. If you find yourself eating by the clock, check in with your hunger and fullness signals to see if, in fact, you are hungry.
When you overeat, and you will, no worries. No judgment. No cause for alarm. Instead, take a mindful moment and listen. Whatever your why was, learn from it.
Whenever you eat mindlessly, compulsively or obsessively, your task is to return to mindful eating with the next bite. No matter how many times this happens, start again. Gradually, you will eat mindfully more often.
