Are there people in your life whom you take for granted? Your mother perhaps? Or a mother-like person? This week we celebrate Mother’s Day in America. It is a day to honor those women in our lives who have shaped us, taught us, guided us and loved us throughout our lives. Even if you have had a difficult relationship with your mother (or mother-figure), there is something within that relationship worth acknowledging, paying attention to, even feeling gratitude for. This week, as we celebrate “mothers,” take some time to acknowledge the women in your life who made you who you are today. Thank them out loud or silently to yourself. If you are a mother, acknowledge, and appreciate your efforts to love, shape and guide your children, whoever and wherever they are. Who will honor in this way? ? Please write your comments below.
