Do you hold your breath? I don’t mean when you are diving into a pool. I mean while you are going about your ordinary business. Many of us do. If we are not holding our breath we are certainly breathing shallowly from our chest into of our diaphragms. Breathing more deeply has many health benefits including less stress, lower blood pressure, fewer aches and pains and better sleep. Getting into the habit of deep breathing is easy with this little tip. Set a timer to chime periodically throughout the day. When you hear the chime, take three deep breaths and go on with your day.  You can set the timer to chime as often as you like. It’s up to you. I think you will find that when you time these little breathing breaks, you get energized and more focused. The more you do it, the better you will feel.
