Look at this list of habits and pick one to work on this month. Once you feel you’ve mastered it, come back to this list and pick another one. One by one you can change your habits for a lifetime.

  • I eat when I am hungry.
  • I stop when I am full.
  • I eat slowly.
  • I fully taste each bite.
  • I eat mindfully at social gatherings.
  • I eat smaller portions to match my body’s needs.
  • I address my feeling without eating.
  • I leave food on my plate when I am no longer hungry.
  • I stop eating a food when it doesn’t taste good.
  • I choose not to eat foods that cause me physical discomfort.
  • I fill my time with fun activities that do not include food.
  • I say no to second helpings when I am no longer hungry.
