TAME Your Appetite Follow-Up Coaching Programs

Group Coaching

As a continuation of your participation in either program, you may enjoy continuing to meet with other members of your program in this 6 month group coaching program. Your continued participation will help you incorporate all that you learned into your life.

By meeting monthly, you will deepen your ability to pay attention to what your body really needs and why, experience the full pleasure and taste of food without overeating, and release the guilt and struggle you may still be experiencing.

The group will select which practices and topics it would like to focus on, including:

  • nutritional guidance and support
  • mindful eating exercises
  • mindfulness meditation training
  • guided visualizations
  • self-compassion
  • loving kindness, and
  • home practices,

to help cultivate mindful awareness and a more balanced and positive relationship to eating and weight concerns. Each meeting will begin with a mindful meditation.

The groups will meet once a month for 90 minutes. There must be a minimum of 4 participants for the group to start. The group can continue on 6 month cycles as desired. You can participate in one of these groups either in-person or online.

Individual Coaching

As a continuation of your participation in either program, you may enjoy having 6 months of individual Mindful Eating coaching to help you incorporate all that you learned into your life.

With individualized coaching, you learn to overcome whatever obstacles may still be getting in your way of embracing mindful eating. Whether your challenges come from the incorporation of Inner or Outer Wisdom, you will be guided to find your unique way to pay attention to what your body really needs and why, experience the full pleasure and taste of food you really enjoy without overeating, and how to release any remaining difficulties you may be having.

Selected practices and topics will be individualized to your needs including nutritional guidance and support, mindful eating exercises, mindfulness meditation training, guided visualizations, self-compassion, lovingkindness and home practices to help cultivate mindful awareness and a more balanced and positive relationship to eating and weight concerns.

Through this coaching program, you will solidify your new relationship to food and strengthen your mindful eating habits.

Your individualized coaching is offered as 30-minute monthly calls done via telephone or video-conferencing. You may choose between two and four monthly calls.

How to Apply for Group Coaching

After completing either program, you may enroll in group coaching.

Option 1: The In-Person Group Coaching Program will meet in Santa Monica once a month for 90 minutes.
Option 2: The Online Group Coaching Program will meet once a month for 90 minutes using the same video–conferencing classroom as the 12-Session Program.

How to Apply for Individual Coaching

After completing either program, you may enroll in individual coaching.

Option 1. Based a schedule that meets your needs, you will have four 30-minute coaching calls with Dr. Sheila each month.
Option 2. Based a schedule that meets your needs, you will have two 30-minute coaching calls with Dr. Sheila each month.
