Part of being a mindful eater is understanding, respecting and honoring your emotions. To become better acquainted with your feelings, ask yourself these three questions: 

  • When and where in your past did you first feel this feeling?
  • What happened in your life that caused it to grow more painful?
  • How is this feeling affecting you today?

 You don’t need to fix a feeling or make it go away. All you need to do is notice it and let it be.
