Back in May I recommended that you spend a few minutes day reading something what would enhance your journey to mindfulness and mindful eating. Did you do that? If you have, I hope that what you read did indeed help you along in this process. If you did not, it is not too late to start. Once again, I would like to encourage you to spend a few minutes, or pages, a day, of “contemplative reading.” If you are wondering what to read, you might enjoy books from some of these authors: Jon Kabat-Zinn, Jack Kornfield, Jean Kristeller, Andrea Lieberstein, Thich Nhat Hahn, Kristen Neff, and Sharon Salzburg.  If not, go to amazon and search mindfulness and mindful eating for ideas. As I suggested earlier, you might like to assemble a few friends to form a book club and read these books together.  Whichever book to choose to read, keep an open-mind, a non-judgmental stance and pay attention to the words on the page. In other words, read mindfully! Adapted from Mindful Bites – Joyful Life: 365 Days of Mindful Eating. Available in bookstores everywhere.
