If you are new to mindful eating, it is helpful to start with a definition. Mindful eating is eating with awareness of your body’s needs and preferences, as well as, your emotional states and desires. The key word in this definition is awareness. Mindful eating is all about awareness: awareness of when you are hungry and when you are full; awareness of what tastes good and what does not; awareness of which foods serve your body best and which undermine it; and, awareness of when you eat for emotional reasons and when you eat mindlessly. So, I have a question for you: How aware are you when it comes to food and eating? Please write your comments below.
PS. Coming Spring 2022 to bookstores near you, my first book on Mindful Eating – TAME Your Appetite: The Art of Mindful Eating.
