If you follow this blog, you know that last year, I launched the 5-Step TAME Your Appetite Program (https://tameyourappetite.com//5-step-program/) in response to people’s desire for a quicker way to get started than the complete 12-Session program (https://tameyourappetite.com//program-12/) and published my new book, TAME Your Appetite: The Art of Mindful Eating which contains all 5 steps. In the previous two blogs, I explained steps one and two of the program. In this blog, I will explain Step Three – Balancing Your Eating with Outer Guidance. Outer Guidance is essential nutritional and health information that you will use to decide what, where, when, and how much to eat. Outer Guidance is different than “going on a diet” because instead of using some prescribed food plan or list, you will gather information based on your unique needs and use that information to guide you to the right foods for you. As you gather Outer Guidance through books, blogs, webinars, and websites, etc. and try out different foods, suggestions and advice, you will learn what helps you look and feel your best. There is no substitute for this kind of personal attention that you give yourself. No one knows what you need better than your own body, so trust it. How do you feel about gathering Outer Guidance to help you achieve your health and weight loss goals? Please write your comments below.
